Saudi Government Releases First-Ever Ultra High-Resolution Images of Hajr-e-Aswad

In a historic milestone, the Saudi government has unveiled the first-ever ultra high-resolution close-up photographs of the Hajr-e-Aswad (the sacred Black Stone) located in the eastern corner of the Holy Ka'aba in Makkah.

According to an official statement issued by an adviser to the Saudi Ministry of Information, capturing these images required approximately seven hours of continuous precision photography. The final imagery reaches an unprecedented 49,000 megapixels, offering the most detailed visual record of the sacred stone ever produced.

The adviser explained that, as Hajr-e-Aswad is believed to be a stone from Jannah (Paradise), these exceptionally clear and refined images symbolically reflect the beauty of Paradise itself. This release marks the first time in history that the stone has been photographed with such clarity and scientific accuracy.

Although one piece is visible from the outside, Hajr-e-Aswad is actually composed of eight small fragments, each fused together using a natural adhesive made from Arabic frankincense. These pieces are securely embedded within a polished silver frame, a structure that has protected the sacred stone for centuries.

The publication of these high-resolution images provides scholars, historians, and millions of Muslims around the world with a rare opportunity to witness the intricate texture, color, and form of one of Islam’s most revered relics.
